De Niro himself is the basis of several Olympic horses and is the sire of more than 60 approved stallions. Dam Dalida van Paemel is a half-sister of the approved stallion Gerco von Pferdeheim Z (by Gismo Z). Her dam, the Werther daughter Wilma, is a full sister of several state premium and Hauptstutbuch mares and a half-sister of the approved Espen R (by Escudo I). Via Calypso the pedigree continues with the state premium mare Cortina. She is the half-sister of the Grand Prix horse Grundstein I (by Graphit), who is also approved, just like his full brother Grundstein II.
